For the character design, I do some
research about caterpillar. As the main character is a ugly caterpillar, it
should be ugly different from others but cute. Otherwise it could be hard to be
accepted. It should have long arms, shot legs and big eye which easy to change
phiz. So I make the character connected with 5 balls and colored with different
colors.
I looked up some good designs of insects,
then make my own design. Other caterpillars are normal and simple. I created
them green bodies and round heads. But I looked the cocoon design as a sweet
design. The film will be ended in the picture of cocoon on the tree.
